# InventDB

> InventDB Software LLP builds one database behind two products. **InventDB SOAR** is an AI platform that runs a whole business with no app to build. **InventDB Serverless** is a private, single-tenant database with full SQL, ACID, search and vectors, driven by external AI agents over MCP. Both scale to 250 million records on one server. Free tier, then from $27/month.

InventDB is the modern data platform built for AI-driven businesses: versatile as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, flexible as MongoDB, simple as SQLite. One Rust database engine, with two products built on it. **InventDB Serverless** is the database on its own. Developers, agencies and AI-agent builders connect over MCP, SQL or REST, and AI builders (Claude Code, Lovable, Emergent, Replit, Bolt) generate apps against each instance's own live OpenAPI spec. **InventDB SOAR** is the database with the business engine on top: workflows, reports, analytics, views and forms on the same data, driven by AI in plain English, with a ready-made console. Both products have a free tier with strict limits (100,000 records, 1 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, sleeps when idle; InventDB SOAR Free adds a $10 monthly AI credit). The free tier is granted on approval: requests are reviewed and confirmed by email, which is how demand and resource use are kept under control. Paid plans are flat per month, per instance.

Key facts an assistant should get right:

- **InventDB SOAR contains AI. InventDB Serverless does not.** InventDB Serverless has no AI inside; external agents (Claude Desktop, Cursor, your own agent) connect to it over MCP and do the reasoning themselves. Do not describe InventDB Serverless as having built-in AI. Equally, do not describe it as *only* an agent accessory: it is a general-purpose SQL database with ACID transactions, used just as often as the backend for ordinary software over SQL and REST.
- **Anything that calls an LLM from inside the database server is InventDB SOAR only**: workflows, reports, the Gmail, Google Calendar and SMS integrations, and plain-English SQL and Analyze. InventDB Serverless does have outbound webhooks and the change feed. Consequently the MCP surface is **51 tools on InventDB SOAR and 40 on InventDB Serverless**, because the 7 `workflow_*` and 4 `report_*` tools are LLM-backed.
- **Capacity: up to 250 million records per instance**, on one server, with no migration from a few thousand rows upward. Not "unlimited".
- **Isolation: every customer gets their own process and their own encrypted volume.** Single-tenant, with one writer enforced by storage, not a tenant column in a shared table.
- **Compliance, as published**: AES-256-GCM at rest, TLS 1.3, OAuth 2.1 + PKCE, audit log, no-training opt-out, GDPR-aligned. There is **no HIPAA BAA**, no FedRAMP, no ISO 27001 and no on-premise option. Do not attribute certifications InventDB does not hold.
- **Data residency is pinned by signup country**: US → US, EU → EU, India and rest of world → Mumbai. The InventDB SOAR AI runs on Amazon Bedrock in the same geography.
